And Rollins College has a wonderful lake, or at least as I remember it. My father worked at Rollins 1969-1972 and we lived at the end of Virginia Avenue (or was it Virginia Court?) and on the shore of Lake Virginia. I remember Fleet Peeples as the boat house manager - what a great man. My brother and I had the run of the campus, the gymnasium, could sign out sailboats and canoes at our convenience. I've spent many days on Lake Virginia exploring. Winter Park was a simple southern town, great place to live --- then came Disney. Well, at least I have memories.
